Blissful Zanskar

Day 1

Shanti Stupa - Leh marke

Full day rest and in the evening excursion to Shanti Stupa and Leh market.

Day 2

Pathar Sahib - Indus (Sangam) - Alchi monastery - Lamayouru

After breakfast drive to Lamayouru on the way visit Pathar Sahib, confluence of Zanskar and Indus (Sangam), Alchi monastery the oldest monastery in Ladakh which date back to 10 the century. Overnight in Lamayouru.

Day 3

Zangla or Tsazar

Before breakfast proceed to the monastery for the overlook view and the drive to Zangla or Tsazar. Overnight in homestay.

Day 4

Zangla - Stongdey monastery

After breakfast visit Zangla palace where famous Hungarian scholar Coma de Cros spent one year in the beginning of 1830s to study Tibetan, and later on he wrote the first Tibetan-English dictionary. Subsequently visit the nunnery of Zangla and then vist Stongdey monastery aftermath reach Padum the main town of Zanskar.

Day 5

Karsha, Zanskar - Nari Rinpoche - Padum

Sightseeing in Zanskar. Including Karsha the largest monastery in Zanskar, the monastery is belongs to gelugpa which incumbent is Nari Rinpoche and he is Dalai Lama's younger brother, Stakrimo which was king of Padum shrine room and later on it was converted to monastic tradition and it is come under Bardan monastery and it is butanase style of Drukpa kagyud pa sect and Pipiting Overnight in Padum.

Day 6

Zanskar

Free day in Zanskar for individual activity.

Day 7

Purney - Bardan monastery

Proceed to Purney on the way visit Bardan monastery

Day 8

Phuktal monastery - Purney

After breakfast hike to famous Phuktal monastery which takes 2 hours maximum, after visiting the monastery walk back to Purney for overnight stay.

Day 9

Purney - Jispa via Gonbo Rangjon - Shinku la pass

Purney to Jispa via Gonbo Rangjon which is holy mountain for all the Zanskari people and then Shinku la pass which the highest point enroute.

Day 10

Jispa - Manali

Jispa to Manali.
